As a Recruitment Team Lead, you will bring strong stakeholder engagement skills, a passion for talent acquisition, and a deep understanding of hiring within the banking and financial services sector.
In this role, you will lead recruitment delivery across a broad range of portfolios, including senior and revenue-generating roles, while acting as a key point of contact for hiring managers and functional recruiters. You will provide strategic recruitment support, guide process management, and deliver insights that align with business objectives.
As a team lead, you will also help drive operational excellence—mentoring recruiters, leading process improvements, and ensuring consistent and high-quality recruitment outcomes across the portfolio.
What you will be doing:
- Ownership of end-to-end recruitment across Australia including oversight for functional recruitment and first escalation point for any functional recruitment queries
- Operational relationship manager of P&C community and key point of escalation for Hiring Managers
- Responsible for managing a portfolio of revenue roles, and senior director roles
- Provide regular reporting to business and P&C on both an ad hoc and scheduled basis e.g. open roles reporting, new starters, business reviews and ad hoc requests
- Ownership for facilitating and maintaining regular P&C meeting schedule and agenda
- Attendance at regular COO and Business Management meetings
- As the subject matter expert, ensure functionally aligned recruiters understand the business culture through the sharing business story/updates, processes and nuances. Through ongoing education of existing team members and the induction of new team members.
- Proactively engage functional recruiters to support process management including reviewing all offer approvals prior to submission to the P&C Teams for review and approval
- Supporting aligned recruiters with remuneration and reward queries and challenges Conducting Mid Process ‘quality’ Check Ins across working with the Recruitment Leads where required (in consultation with the FO Lead)
- Attending job briefing meetings with aligned recruiters where required, ensuring that all roles with senior hiring managers are attended to ensure consistency of service
- Collate and escalate feedback and challenges of the recruitment process to the correct point of contacts. Ie: Avature system issues to the Avature Project Team
- Maintain Recruitment SharePoint with the support of the operations teams
- Sharing ‘in the moment’ market insights across the business
About You:
- Confidence in engaging with senior business leaders and HR stakeholders, providing strategic recruitment advice and acting as the first point of escalation for recruitment queries.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end recruitment for senior and director-level roles, ideally within banking, financial services, or similarly complex environments.
- Strong ability to manage recruitment governance, reporting, and process improvement initiatives while driving consistency and best practice across recruitment delivery.
- You enjoy coaching and supporting recruiters, sharing knowledge, and ensuring alignment across teams through education, feedback, and ongoing communication.
- You’re comfortable navigating competing priorities in a dynamic environment, with a proactive approach to identifying solutions, sharing market insights, and supporting evolving business needs.
